Koichi Murata has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry, mainly in the US and Japan. Koichi began his career at Mitsubishi Corporation in Tokyo, focusing initially on infrastructure development business in the Middle East. Later, he transitioned to equity investments in US multifamily residential, logistics developments, and experienced value-add investments.
Koichi’s experience also includes launching J-REITs and private REITs in Japan during the 2000’s, investing in over US$10 billion of equity. In 2004, he founded and became CEO of Diamond Realty Management, a private fund management company sponsored by Mitsubishi Corporation. He was also engaged in the domestic property development business as CEO of Mitsubishi Corporation Urban Development from 2013 through 2019.
Koichi received his Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Keio University of Tokyo, Japan.
