ARCH Capital Acquires 25 Multifamily Buildings in Japan

ARCH Capital’s Expanding Footprint in Japan

We are excited to have recently acquired a portfolio of 25 multi-family buildings in Japan. The assets are all well-located within Tokyo’s 23 wards and a short walk from the nearest train station. The stabilized assets are running at near-full occupancy and will benefit from the strong fundamentals and defensive nature of the Japan residential market. This acquisition is a strategic addition to the growing residential-for-rent (multi-family and co-living) portfolio of ARCH across the APAC region, drawing on its experience building over 30,000 homes around the region.

This latest acquisition comes on the heels of the recently announced ARCH-Manulife strategic alliance. We will continue to build on the existing on-the-ground presence of Manulife in this market and collaborate on expanding our investment footprint to other sectors and key cities in Japan.
