With over 33 years in global real asset investing, Charles conceived the original plan for ARCH Capital in 2005 as head of Ayala Corporation’s international investment business.
Charles began his career as a corporate and real estate attorney at Shearman & Sterling in New York. He has worked primarily in private markets, including senior roles in telecoms and infrastructure at Singapore Telecom, as CEO for 15 years of Ayala International and latterly in real estate at ARCH Capital where he served at various times as Chairman and President since ARCH’s launch in 2006.
Most recently, in 2022, Charles co-founded ARCH’s Singapore-based digital infrastructure affiliate, Digital Halo Pte Ltd, where he serves as Executive Chairman.
As Senior Advisor, Charles also serves as a non-executive director and advisor in regional entities of ARCH’s strategic collaborators while maintaining his ownership interest in ARCH Capital.
